Ralphie was born July 28th, 2009 and will turn two later this Summer. He comes from PBF Kennels in Freemont, Ia., the same kennels that Annie comes from. Ralphie’s mother, PBF’s Hero’s Echo’s of Fire, is Annie’s Aunt and his Father, DC Road’s Rough Rider, is the reigning American Brittany Club National Champion. He seems to have Annie’s speed (maybe a little more) and is stylish on point. He unfortunately broke a leg a little over a year ago and is just now rounding out his training.
He is being trained by Craig Steinbach of Fly-n-Gun Kennels. Craig advises that Ralphie is coming along well but has not yet bought off on the entire program…holding to the shot, backing, etc. Ralphie may spend some time pursuing a Senior Hunter Title before jumping into BDC Tournaments.
Update 4/9/12. Ralphie aka “The Ralph” has roared onto the Tournament Hunting scene! With 4 Super major wins and a 2nd place in the last 5 months he is already moving up the BDC ladder. ” The Ralph” has earned over 180 Lifetime Points and has now earned Championship Status.
